It seems Uruguay’s Luis Suarez couldn’t wait to sink his teeth into last night’s World Cup game. The football star’s courting controversy again over claims that he bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.
Was Luis Suarez that hungry last night or was he just trying to mimic his favourite character from the Twilight film franchise?
That’s one of the many amusing questions being asked this morning after the Uruguay striker’s controversial performance during his side’s 1-0 World Cup Group D victory last night.
Football pundits say the 27-year-old could face disciplinary action after video footage showed him apparently biting the shoulder of Italy's Giorgio Chiellini in the second half of the game.

The incident happened just before Uruguay scored the goal that catapulted them into the top 16.
Chiellini spoke about the confrontation almost immediately after the game. He told Italian newspaper La Gazzetta that, “The disparity in judgement has been evident. The referee should have shown him a red card. There's a clear simulation after, a clear sign that he had done something that he wasn't supposed to.”
Suarez’s fangs have been quite a nuisance for him in the past. He was charged with violent conduct by the FA and fined last year after he appeared to bite opposing player Branislav Ivanović in a Premier League match with Chelsea.
