How other countries marvel at our South African-ess

In all my travels I have heard foreigners talk of our country with wonder and awe and genuine fondness.
The reason we might miss all the wonderful idiosyncrasies and fabulously quirky ‘Saffricanisms”
I think is twofold.
1. We are too close to the subject – ourselves.
2. We do love a good gripe, and I think in our griping we neglect to celebrate our successes and victories - our ingenious solutions to our unique challenges.
