First day of Grade One

First day of big school...Were you excited or traumatized? Did you do something you regret or can laugh about now?

Natarah shares her story:

"I remember being jealous that my younger brother got to sleep in and I didn't. On our first day, our teacher taught us how to write the letters of the alphabet, big letters next to the little ones on each line of our A5 exercise book in pencil. The coolest part of my day was going to the teacher's table to sharpen my pencil."

This is what Darren remembers getting up to:

"I remember being a very protective brother, making sure that nobody messes with my brother. So as we were on the playground minding our own business out of nowhere I see this guy bumping and pushing my brother around. I didn't even hesitate, before I knew it I jumped on top of this guy's back. So on my first day of Grade One I got called into the principal’s office and punished. Not hard to forget."
