The fake hand freak out
All you need for this little mind game is a fake hand, a cardboard barrier, a fork and a willing victim.
This trick is far more terrifying than it is probably supposed to be.
It is carried out by PhD students at the University of Freiburg in Germany.
The aim of the experiment is to fool one person into believing that his / her hand is being stabbed with a fork.
Using careful and creative visual and sensory methods, the victim's brain really is tricked into believing the fake hand is indeed his / her hand.
We think we need to give this a try and report back.
Oh wait, in fact we'll film it so you can see the terror for yourself!
