Los Angeles has been hit by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake only kilometers away from the Hollywood Hills. A news channel was broadcasting live when the tremor struck – take a look at the video here.

Early Monday morning at 6:25 a.m. an unexpected earthquake hit Los Angeles
 
CBS Los Angeles reports that the tremor was the largest earthquake in Los Angeles since the region stopped having aftershocks from the 1994 Northridge quake. 
 
KTLA was broadcasting live when the earthquake hit.
