Darren puts the Sugarpova to the test

When I heard that Maria Sharapova had come out with a range of sweets called 'Sugarpova', I could not have been happier. 

 

I thought she had lost the plot a bit when she almost legally changed her name to Sugarpova ahead of her next meet at the US Open, but I think we all know that that was probably her silly boyfriend’s idea and she briefly entertained the notion to make him feel that he is actually contributing to the relationship.

 

Thankfully the name change is not happening according to her manager Max Eisenbud.(Which, personally, is a relief as I was panicking about the legal ramifications of changing the marriage certificate I have secretly drawn up for us)

 

The Sharopova candy line Sugarpova does still however exist, and frankly they are delicious. I did keep in mind that even if the line was called “Sh*tapova” that I would probably still think they were amazing as I am ever so slightly biased in the Maria department.

 

So, I took a pack of the Sharapova Sugarpovas to the streets to get some random unsolicited responses to the delectable little delights and strangely enough the response was overwhelmingly positive.
