Checking out the Prawn Shak
Updated | By Jason

The idea behind this unique concept is Bill Bud, a super talented man well known for his previous, hugely successful restaurants 'Legends' and 'Gringo's'
At the moment, his other other brainchild is 'Bud's on the Bay' - also most definitely worth a visit.
The Prawn Shak is an unbelievable experience, perfect for tour groups, a family get together, corporate functions, team building events or just long lazy lunches.
It's a unique beach restaurant experience where dining is done in a very different way. A fantastic 7 course meal spanning about 5 hours - it's the ideal way to eat, have a drink (or two) at the Rasta bar, eat some more and then just relax, whether it's around the big wooden shack or sitting on the deck upstairs taking in the sounds of the ocean and the tantalizing aromas of the culinary delights.
While you're there, don't miss the opportunity to explore the beach and dunes. It's part of the experience and well worth the visit.
I love the simplicity of this restaurant. It's all about having your feet in the sand, chilling in shorts and lying in hammocks - and of course eating!
At The Prawn Shack, the food just keeps on coming.
The restaurant have also recently introduced 'beach butlers' who do a personalized Braai during the week for small parties, and although it's more seafood oriented, there are meat options too
Gather your friends or family and make it a 'must do' for 2014.
