Best anniversary surprise
For today’s #ThrowBackThursday, Jane re-discovered this gem of a video of a woman surprising her husband on the anniversary of their wedding. Get the tissues out.
Ahhh man this video is just too darling for words!
When I think back to my wedding day, it was such a joyous day of love and unity; a blur of wonderment really.
As time goes on - and especially when you have kids - sometimes we are so busy living in the hum drum of paying for lights, water, school fees and so on that we forget about the chats that extended way into the night, the feeling of exhilaration when your saw your other’s name pop up on your phone, hanging on every word and completing every sentence.
Mike and I still make time to go out once every week or so for a dinner and chat sans kids - just to connect.
However, in saying that, we went out to a function a few years back and a friend at the table piped up “happy wedding anniversary you two!”
“What, us?”
We both panicked at the fear that the other had remembered, but luckily neither of us had!
Between the three kids’ birthday dates, our own birthdays, our wedding anniversary and engagement anniversary date we get our wires crossed sometimes.
I love how this wife surprises her hubby on their seventh wedding anniversary - and the embrace just tells it all!
