Beauty In The Berg
Life. It can be hard work sometimes. The stress can get to you. It can affect your personal relationships, the way you behave and the way your body functions.
That is why having a pause button is handy. In my case, that pause button was the Drakensberg this weekend. It was a much needed break especially for my husband who works for up to 12 hours a day, when he’s really busy.
It was also his birthday last week, so this trip to the Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Spa Resort was an extra-special one. After leaving Durban on Friday morning, we returned home refreshed and rejuvenated on Sunday afternoon. Those two nights away did us the world of good.
We took in everything; the fresh air, the majestic view of the mountains and the delicious food. It was also beautifully warm so we couldn’t resist getting into the pool. I’d never been in a heated pool before and so we spent lots of time in there as well (we’ve decided to keep these pics in our private album *wink*).
Peter, Taryn and the team at the resort made us feel so at home and really showered us with care and kindness. It’s a place you and your family need to visit. There are so many wonderful facilities for the children, from the horse rides to trampolines and putt-putt. They will love it!
