All you need to know about the Gay Pride festival

Durban is set to come alive again this year as Durban Pride that raises the international Gay Flag to mark yet another year of commemoration and celebration of rights to sexual orientation and sexual and gender identity.
It encourages lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people to rise above the discrimination, ‘hate crimes’, gay-bashing, ‘corrective rape’ and other injustices; and challenges friends, families and colleagues to rise above fear and prejudice and promote equality and dignity for all.
Darren and Natarah caught up with spokesperson Chris Booyse, who is involved in this weekend’s Pride March and asked him what’s going on a few days ahead of this important festival. Take a listen:
