If you've been to the hotel, you'll know how magnificent it is. It oozes charm ... and for me, it's team of people make it even more special.
Every single one of the people in the hotel are amazing.
Service begins with a capital S and there's always a friendly smile to welcome you.
Whenever I pop in - it's like I've just got home.
I've known the hotel's GM, Shamini Pather for many years. An incredibly dynamic lady who I've always had the MOST amount of respect for.
In the past few weeks I've also had the absolute pleasure of meeting Sally Bricknell, the hotel's Business Development Manager.
Another dynamic lady who is just the sweetest person on earth.
It was Sally who called me a few weeks ago and broke the news to me.
'We would like to name one of our dishes in the DISH RESTAURANT after you" she said.
I think I was speechless for a few minutes before replying "After me?!!!!
So now it's all systems go and together with the hotel's chef Kerwin, I've been choosing my favourite meals!
I have a menu with my NAME on it! How absolutely awesome is that!
You're probably thinking... 'Well what's the Dish?"
I can't tell you that just yet because I'd much rather you come and actually see it and taste it at the LAUNCH.
The launch of the menu is going to be on the 5th of November and I would LOVE you to be there to share the special occasion with me.
At the same time you can meet the rest of the DRIVE WITH DAMON team.
We'll all be there so now you can put a face to the voice you hear each afternoon.
It'll only cost you R150 per person and then 10% of proceeds go to my Big Favour feature on a Tuesday afternoon.
There are going to be tons of prizes and some really awesome items on auction so that we can raise as much money as possible for the Big Favour so please get all your friends and family to come along.
