WATCH - Orange Rocks fishing action
We have been told of two brusher caught at Scottburgh Point on crab baits over the past week. We have also received reports of good bronze bream fishing at Trafalgar on the KZN south coast.
Anglers in the Umkomaas area caught kob over the past week.
Toti has been quiet, but did produce a few stumpnose and blacktail.
Richards Bay harbour fished well for both snapper salmon and kob.
Grunter were also caught in good numbers in Richards Bay harbour this past week. Cracker shrimp is the preferred bait for these grunter.
We also heard of good kob and snapper salmon action in the Tugela area. The kob were caught on McArthy paddletails. The snapper salmon fed on small baits.
Some huge shad were caught at Zinkwazi this week. The closed season meant that these fish had to be returned to the ocean alive.
