VIDEO: Tarpon leaps into boat
Two anglers are joined in their boat by a lively tarpon.
These fish are famous acrobats and often use their aerial prowess to shake the hook.
It seems they enjoy feeding on mullet in this part of Florida and the lures used in the footage below do look a fair bit like their target prey.
Tarpon can get much bigger than the one caught here and I suspect the fella landed would have served as a nice starter ahead of the main course.
It is awesome seeing the anglers going to great lengths to release the tarpon as carefully and effectively as possible.
Tarpon are also known to feed on crabs.
