VIDEO: Superb pier fishing action

I suspect these guys will struggle with bigger fish.

That is quite a lift needed to get the fish up on the pier.

It looks like a great place for those not all that skilled at casting and feeling a bite in rougher waters.

These guys simply drop, watch and strike.

They end up catching both amberjack and grouper.

The fish are returned live, but I suspect could have been handled more carefully.

It is often a good idea to wet your hands before handling the fish and to place it on a wet surface to avoid removing too much of the protective slime on their bodies. It is also wise to avoid putting too many fingers into the gills.
