Cristiano Ronaldo is the man to beat this year. He is breaking records, and is now being compared with some all time greats.

Ronaldo single handedly led Portugal to the World Cup in Brazil thanks to his magical hatrick in their second leg clash against Sweden.

This season he is the leading goal scorer in La Liga with 25 goals.

The Portuguese skipper is one strike away from matching Lionel Messi's record of 14 goals in a single Uefa Champions League campaign, the Real Madrid superstar has 13 strikes from 7 matches.'

Last night he scored a brace to as Madrid defeated Schalke 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, Los Blancos advanced to the quarterfinals with a 9-2 aggregate against the German outfit.
