VIDEO: Prodigal son gobbles shrimp

Today the US television celebrity is hunting in the shallows of Tampa Bay.

I suspect his main target species would have been snook and redfish.

However, he ends up meeting a fish I am more accustomed to seeing in deeper water.

What he refers to as cobia is known also as prodigal son here in South Africa.

I have seen some big prodigal son caught off North Pier in Durban.

I also recall one of our local Fishing Freaks catching one off Mozambique a few years ago.

Prodigal son are famous for their fighting ability and great taste.
