VIDEO: Nile perch fishing
Nile perch can reach almost 2m in length and are believed to weigh up to 200kgs.
They are found in various African countries including Tanzania, Senegal, Chad, Egypt and Niger.
Nile perch feed on fish (including their own species) and also crustaceans and insects.
Nile perch are an important source of food and are also popular with recreational anglers.
They are known to grab lures.
Our footage was shot on Lake Nasser in Egypt.
