VIDEO: Lure fishing for grunter

I have used squid, sea lice, sardine fillet, sardine head, prawn and shrimp in my pursuit of grunter.

All these baits have worked and I have found sardine head especially useful for bigger grunter at St Lucia on the KZN north coast.

I have also shared footage of anglers using flies and fly tackle to catch grunter.

However, I think today is the first time I have found footage of grunter being caught on surface lures.

It really does seem an awesome (and less messy) tactic in targeting these fish.
