VIDEO: KZN south coast fishing

Alain Tardin and I went deep sea fishing off Durban today.

This time we left our jetski behind and accepted an invitation to fish off a boat Alain once owned.

The current owner, who caught a stack of fish over the past weekend, was kind enough to invite us out.

We encountered a hungry school of pike and again had little trouble catching maasbanker - but more about us a little later this week.

For now we focus on two other anglers and their quest for something big and silver further south off the KZN coast.

They end up hooking a species that could prove very useful at the Durban Ski Boat Festival next month.
