VIDEO: King mackerel in close

It seems that in Florida in the USA you can catch king mackerel in fairly shallow water - at least that is the way it looks in the footage below.

They also refer to this species as kingfish over there.

However, you will clearly see that it is the same fish we call couta over here.

Alain Tardin, my Sportswave teammate, caught two of these in Mozambique earlier this week.

Alain is competing in the Racetech Yamaha Jetski Fishing Classic at Ponta do Ouro.

I have also been told of both bonito and kingfish (GT) success at Ponta this week.

We should have some awesome footage from Mozambique for you soon, but for now you will have to make do with this video clip shot in Florida.
