VIDEO: Hagler and Hearns at war

Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hitman Hearns produced a legendary battle back in 1985.

Hagler, the champion, faced Hearns in Las Vegas in a contest for the middleweight world title.

Hagler was known for his extreme fitness and granite jaw, while Hearns had carved out a reputation as a fearsome puncher.

They played prominent roles in a golden era for boxing that also starred the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Wilfred Benitez, Aaron Pryor and Salvador Sanchez.

Here is the Hagler-Hearns war fought in Nevada 28 years ago.

Hagler retired in 1987 and ended with a professional record of 62 wins, three defeats and two draws.

Hearns fought until 2006.

He won 61 of his 67 bouts as a pro.
