VIDEO: Fishing for tiger trout

The tiger trout is a sterile hybrid of the brown trout and the brook trout.

These fish are often produced artificially in hatcheries and some suggest that they grow faster than natural trout species.

Tiger trout feed mainly on other fish and can be used to control fish populations.

They can weigh up to around 9 kilograms.

The footage below was shot in the US state of Utah.

Tiger trout are also found in both Michigan and Wisconsin.
