VIDEO: Dorado on the double
Dorado is one of my favourite fish species and for various reasons.
These fish are beautiful and also powerful and acrobatic fighters.
I also happen to enjoy the taste of dorado.
To this I can add that a dorado once won a fishing competition for my team and I.
We caught that fish off Durban back in December 2013.
Dorado are often found among the cargo ships anchored off Durban and Umhlanga.
They hide in the shadows cast by these ships and then pounce on fish and lures trolled close to the vessels.
Dorado can also be found near floating debris.
The biggest dorado I have seen weighed around 20kg.
Today we see Fishing Freak, Wes Cruikshanks, hooking into two dorado at the same time.
