VIDEO: Delport brutality breaks bat
Cameron Delport was absolutely brutal against the Chennai Super Kings bowlers in the Champions League T20 in Bangalore yesterday.
Delport smashed a quickfire 34 off 9 deliveries.
He was then dismissed by a trademark Mohit Sharma slower ball, which clipped the top of the bails.
In his nine ball knock he notched up five boundaries and two sixes, striking the ball at a stunning strike rate of 377.
Due to the power of the Dolphins opener, his bat broke while trying to play a lofted cover drive over the inner field.
In attempting to do so, his Gunn and Moore willow shattered in half and scored two runs in the process, while a maximum would have been more valuable for his efforts.
