VIDEO: Cape Vidal fishing action
Updated | By Staff Writer
Cape Vidal on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast is famous for both fishing and its local leopard population.
Today we focus on the ocean and not the spotted cat.
I have had the pleasure of catching some really nice fish at St Lucia, but have not yet had the chance to fish at Cape Vidal.
Anglers planning to do so should check on the malaria status of this area.
Much of my luck at St Lucia has been on sardine head - with grunter the fish I have caught most often on this bait.
I suspect the heads are more difficult for the smaller fish to feed on, allowing time for bigger specimens to gulp my bait.
However, we are featuring Cape Vidal here and so let me let the footage below do the rest of the talking.
