VIDEO: Big fish at Cape Vidal
Two anglers cast out big baits in pursuit of trophy fish on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.
When you use a whole bonito and a whole mackerel you are clearly chasing considerable fish.
Those are the baits used by the fishermen in the footage below.
You will see them both hook into fine fish at a venue famous for producing excellent angling.
I know which of the two fish I would have preferred catching.
It is also great to see the beauty released after the contest.
Alain Tardin and I caught what these guys would consider bait on our most recent fishing trip off Durban.
