Tiger drops from top 100

Tiger Woods is outside the top 100 in the world golf rankings for the first time since September 1996.

Woods has this week slipped from 96th to 104th in the rankings and looks unlikely to enter the US Masters next month.

Woods, who is 39, has been battling with injuries and last played competitive golf early last month.

Rory McIlroy remains world number one, while Henrik Stenson is ranked second and Bubba Watson third.

Watson is the reigning Masters champion.

Louis Oosthuizen is the leading South African in the world rankings.

Oosthuizen is ranked 34th and Charl Schwartzel 36th.

Branden Grace is 41st, Tim Clark 59th and George Coetzee 63rd.

Ernie Els is ranked 82nd in the world.
