The Kingfisher Shad Competition has really started to heat up. The leading fish is 3.64 kilos, second 2.9 kilos and third 2.1 kilos. With a week left to go, you can still get your shad in if you think you can beat those fish.

Umhlanga has seen some Shad and the odd Brusher coming out.

The Toti/Winkelspruit has produced some Garrick although live baits are still a bit of a problem. Umkomaas has seen the odd Kob and one or two Grunter landed, whilst Shad have been scarce.

It was great to see that our beaches were packed yesterday despite the onshore winds in the afternoon. Beachgoers can expect similar weather conditions today with clear skies, a maximum temperature of 27 degrees in Durban and NE winds blowing.
