Sharks next assignment and more
Rugby
The Sharks will see Absa Currie Cup action this weekend. They host the Free State Cheetahs in Durban. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 15:00 on Saturday the afternoon at Growthpoint Kings Park.
The Springboks will be on display in Castle Rugby Championship action next weekend. The Boks take on the Wallabies, the match will take place at Newlands on Saturday 28 September, and kickoff will be at 17:00.
Football
Orlando Pirates have a massive task ahead of them to qualify for the semifinals of the CAF Champions League. The buccaneers are second in Group A on 7 points, Al Ahly are at the summit on 10 points. Pirates will take on the Egyptians in their final group match, a victory at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday will earn them a spot in the last four.
Amazulu are away to Bidvest Wits in the PSL tomorrow, Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United are on the Wednesday menu, Arrows host Free State Stars, while the Team of Choice welcomes Mpumalanga Black Aces at Harry Gwala Stadium.
The UEFA Champions League Group Stages get underway tomorrow, Manchester United host Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich welcome CSKA Moscow at the Allianz Arena, Real Madrid are away to Galatasaray, Man City travel to Plzen and Olympiacos host PSG.
There's only the one match in the Barclays Premier League today, Swansea host Liverpool, kickoff will be at 21:00 at the Liberty Stadium.
Cricket
The fifth and final ODI between England and Australia will get underway today. The five match series are level at 1-1, the match will start at 2pm our time in Southampton.
Surfing
Jordy Smith and Travis Logie have cemented their places in the 3rd round of the Hurley Pro. Both Jordy and Travis won their respective heats, while defending Champion Joel Parkinson and Kelly Slater will surf in the second.
