Updated | By Andre Bloem
SA surfers, Bianca Buitendag and Jordy Smith, are through to their respective fourth round heats in Hawaii.
Buitendag is competing in the Target Maui Pro and is currently sixth in the Women's Championship Tour standings.
Smith is surfing in the Vans World Cup event at Sunset Beach and is battling at 29th in the men's World Championship Tour.
Injuries have hit Smith hard this season and he ended second in his round of 64 heat to stay alive in Hawaii.
Philippe Coutinho, meanwhile, should be fit for the Capital One Cup clash between Liverpool and Southampton on Wednesday.
Manchester City will host Hull City in a Capital One Cup quarter-final tomorrow night at 21h45 South African time.
