Ronaldo: 2016 Best year of my career

Cristiano Ronaldo was award the FIFA best player award in Zurich on Monday night at the inaugural FIFA Best Footballer awards.
The Real Madrid and Portugal forward beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to the prize.
Ronaldo scored 42 goals in 2016 and led Real Madrid to champions league glory and champions in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The man known as CR7 also led Portugal to glory at the Euro's in France for his 1st gold medal in a international tournament.
"It was my best year so far," said Ronaldo.
"The trophy for Portugal was amazing. I was so happy and of course I cannot forget the Champions League and the Club World Cup. We ended the year in the best way. I'm so glad to win a lot of trophies, collective and individual. I'm so, so proud."
Other winners on the night included Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri who picked up the FIFA best coach while USA midfielder Carly Lloyd received the FIFA best female player accolade.
Ex-Germany boss Silvia Neid won the female coach award, while Penang's Mohd Faiz Subri received the Puskas award for the best goal of 2016.
A Fifpro 11 was also announced which included nine players from the Spanish La Liga.
The likes of Luis Suarez, Iniesta, Marcelo, Toni Kroos and Luca Modric, Sergo Ramos, Pique, Messi and Ronaldo all made the cut from Spain while Bayern Munich goalkeeper Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and Juventus defender Dani Alves made up the rest of the team.
