Reinach will be making his 50th Vodacom Super Rugby appearance in the fixture in Johannesburg.

Sharks head coach, Robert du Preez, believes Reinach in the best scrumhalf is South Africa right now.

"Cobus is a very good scrumalf. He is the number one scrumhalf in the country. We know he will just get better every week. I think he is improving every week. He is a stalwart and has been with this union for eight years. He is a fantastic guy to have in our set-up," Du Preez said.

Garth April has been picked to start at fullback this week. Du Preez feels April is in good form.

"I thought Garth did really well when he came on last week. It has been a long and tough road for Garth coming back, but he is now in a great space mentally. So we are very happy with Garth having a start. We are bringing Inny (Radebe) onto the bench. I know he is very happy about that. We are all happy about that. I thought Inny had a very good game against Border in the friendly last week. Based on that, I think he is ready to play," Du Preez added.

The selection of Curwin Bosch, April and Radebe this week means the Sharks have three players who can play both flyhalf and fullback. Du Preez is happy to have such a scenario at his disposal.

"It is definitely a big help. All three of them are also really good kickers. It is good to have that. Obviously we have another change this week with Daniel (Du Preez) starting. He is very happy to join his brother in the team. So our captain is moving to six. All in all, it is good news," Du Preez said.

Du Preez does not feel in any way anxious about playing the Lions in Johannesburg.

"Not at all. We are going to focus on our game. We want to maintain our momentum from last week and we want to improve this week. It is a challenge that we are really looking forward to," said Du Preez.

Clement Poitrenaud is not in the Sharks match-day squad this week. Du Preez has explained the decision not to pick the Frenchman.

"Clement had a bit of a niggle two weeks ago against the Kings and I just want Clement to play 80 minutes of rugby. So we are going to give him an opportunity to do so against Griquas tomorrow. He needs to get 80-minute games under the belt and then he will definitely be coming back into the set-up," Du Preez concluded.

Philip van der Walt again misses out through injury this week. He is expected to be fit to face the Jaguares next week.
