The scrumhalf requires surgery to fix his damaged knee.

Philip van der Walt is still nursing a neck injury and should be fit in two to three weeks.

Ruan Botha should also be fit in about three weeks, while Jacques Potgieter is about five weeks away from fitness.

Innocent Radebe should be ready in a month from now and Wandile Mjekevu should be available in two weeks.

Pat Lambie, Francois Kleinhans and Tera Mtembu are all fit and ready to face the Hurricanes in Durban this Saturday.

The game between the Sharks and Hurricanes is not the only one scheduled for Growthpoint Kings Park this Saturday.

The Vodacom SupeRugby fixture will be followed by an Absa Currie Cup meeting between the Sharks XV and Western Province.

Marius van der Westhuizen will referee the SupeRugby action.
