During the knockout stages Port Natal advanced to the Cup semi-finals where they played against Hilton College.
In a hard-fought match the Port Natal team beat Hilton 24–10 to advance into the Cup final.
The final match was against Maritzburg College after they beat Westville Boys High in their semi-final.
The final match promised to be a epic battle between the two top teams.
Port Natal had not had the opportunity to play against Matitzburg College for a long time and the Portie boys were very excited about the match.
As anticipated, the final had the spectators on the edge of their seats with both teams running in some great tries.
