James Ackerman was knocked unconscious when tackled during a Queensland Cup game this past weekend.

Ackerman never regained consciousness and the 25-year-old father of two eventually died in hospital.

Ackerman was tackled by 20-year-old Francis Molo and the latter has now been cited by Queensland Rugby League disciplinary authorities.

John Mitchell, meanwhile, has made it clear that he is happy with his business and Supersport commitments right now.

Mitchell in doing so appears to have ruled himself out of the head coach vacancy at the Cell C Sharks.

Mitchell says he recently also decided against considering a coaching role with the DHL Stormers.
