The pressure is on, as the Pirates have to win this weekend's second leg clash against Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia to lift the coveted Confederations Cup trophy.

The Buccaneers suffered a 1-1 draw against Etoile du Sahel in the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final at Orlando Stadium last Saturday.

Twenty years ago in the CAF Champions League final, the Sea Robbers suffered a 2-2 draw against ASEC Abidjan at home but went to Ivory Coast edging their opponents 1-0 at the end of 90 minutes.

“When the class of ’95 went to Abidjan, they had conceded two goals at home, the guys believed and backed themselves to do the impossible and all it took was just one goal and the rest is history,” said Erasmus on the club's website.

“This group of players has some of the best players in the country, and we have given everything through our current CAF journey and now we have nothing to lose. We simply have to go there and get back that away goal,” added Erasmus.

Meanwhile, Pirates and Sahel will kick-off the second-leg earlier on Sunday, November 29 following the recent terrorist attacks in Tunisia.

That means the encounter will start promptly at 16h00 (SA time).
