PHOTOS: Woman pips Springbok legend

Joubert caught a 28.1kg couta on the opening day and lead for much of the competition off Mtunzini this past weekend.
However, the rugby great was eventually pipped by a female angler from Eshowe.
Ronell Hully landed a 33.2kg whopper with barely two hours left on the second and final day.
Hully caught her couta in ginger beer coloured water on a Japanese mackerel.
She battled the trophy fish for 40 minutes.
The title success earned Hully a cash prize of R30 000.
I, like most of the field, headed for blue water and ended up making the long trek by ocean from Richards Bay up to Maphelane.
I caught a garfish, several reds and lost a Natal snoek.
However, couta proved elusive and I returned to Umlalazi Ski Boat Club without a fish to weigh.
Here are a selection of photos taken at Mtunzini this past weekend.

(The surf launch at Mtunzini was tricky and many skippers chose to launch in Richards Bay)
(Jetski anglers were also welcome at the 2015 Imperial Nissan Zululand Couta Classic)
(Mtunzini is not only famous for fishing, but also for its herd of zebras)
Next on the menu for me is Quattro King of the Sea at Pumula on the KZN south coast.
The fishing contest will take place next month.
