The past weekend was a big one for Orlando Pirates as they hosted Al Ahly in the Caf Champions League final first leg. The Proteas and the Sunfoil Dolphins were also on display.

In my weekly feature, I let my pictures do the talking as I look back at some of the sporting events that unfolded over the past weekend.

This week my focus is on the Caf Champions League final first leg between Orlando Pirates Al Ahly, the Proteas ODI series with Pakistan as well as the Momentum One Day Cup.

The Buccaneers and the Egyptian giants played to a 1-1 draw at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening in the first leg. Mohamed Abutrika gave the visitors the lead with a sensational free-kick outside the box, while Thabo Matlaba's quick feet equalised for the home side in stoppage time.

South Africa lost by 66 runs against Pakistan in the second one-day international in Dubai and the five-match series are now level at 1-1.

Pirates players, Rooi Mahamutsa and Happy Jele, build a wall as the defending African champions are awarded a free-kick outside the box which lead to the first goal of the game.

Lonwabo Tsotsobe pulls off a remarkable catch to get rid of opening batsman, Nasir Jamshed, for one run off the bowling off Morne Morkel in the second over of the match in the Proteas 66-run loss to Pakistan in the second ODI in Dubai.

Graham Onions on display for the Sunfoil Dolphinsin in their loss to the Chevrolet Warriors at the PMB Oval yesterday. He picked up just the one wicket of Luthando Mnyanda.
