Nkhatha a team player: Igesund

Supersport United head coach, Gordon Igesund, believes Kingston Nkhatha may enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere at his new club.

Nkhatha was often booed by fans during his time at Kaizer Chiefs and Igesund feels the Zimbabwean may flourish without such pressure.

Igesund says Nkthatha is a quality striker who is not afraid of hard work out on the pitch.

"Kingston Nkhatha for me is a fantastic player in a sense that he's a real team man. He will go and do everything he needs to do and he's also a goalscorer, there's no doubt about that. I just think that he was under huge pressure from the boo boys at Kaizer Chiefs. They just wanted so much from him. They wanted more from him. Eventually, he was just so nervous," he said.

Supersport United also signed Daine Klate last month.

Klate, who won three league titles with Supersport, has joined them from Orlando Pirates.

Igesund is delighted to have Klate back at the club.

"Probably one of the true wingers in South African football. He's got the ability to go past players, he's very experienced, he can see things and he can play that early ball. Sometimes a lot of wingers like to hold on a little bit too much, but Daine's got so much experience that he's able to see things very quickly. He's got a very educated left foot," he added.
