South Africa are up to 16th in the medals table at the Rio Paralympics. Team SA have now secured three gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Charl du Toit won gold in the men's 100-metres, while Ilse Hayes claimed silver in the women's 100-metres.

Thanda Royal Zulu and Amazulu have won their latest matches in the National First Division.
Thanda defeated Royal Eagles 2-0 in a KZN derby, while Amazulu were 1-0 winners at Cape Town All Stars.
Veteran striker, Siyabonga Nomvethe, netted for Usuthu yesterday.
Amazulu and Thanda both have a maximum six points from two starts.

Three Absa Premiership matches are scheduled for tomorrow night.
The menu includes a meeting between Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates.
Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United both have home matches in the league on Wednesday night.
Arrows will be up against Cape Town City, while Team of Choice have a date with Sundowns.

Sunderland will host Everton in the English Premiership tonight.
Chelsea, held to a draw at Swansea City yesterday, will play their next league game on Friday night.
That is when Chelsea will host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan have recorded their first Serie A win under Frank de Boer.
Mauro Icardi scored both Inter goals in a 2-1 victory at Pescara last night.

SA motorcyclist, Brad Binder, now has a lead of 106 points at the top of the Moto3 standings.
Binder won in San Marino yesterday.

Stanislas Wawrinka is the US Open champion.
This after beating Novak Djokovic in the final.
Wawrinka defeated the Serb 6-7 6-4 7-5 6-3 in New York.
Wawrinka has now won five of his 24 meetings with Djokovic.

This is his third Grand Slam singles title.
