Morning shad on the Bluff
Updated | By Andre Bloem
Shad fishing has definitely picked up on the Durban piers lately, with more prolific catches as well as bigger fish.
There have also been good catches of shad in the Bluff area, although these have been limited to morning sessions only.
Toti and Winkel have seen a fair amount of activity recently with garrick caught on live baits. Kob have been caught at night on chokka baits.
Shad and grunter have been coming out at Umkomaas with the grunter relatively small at the moment. Some smaller kob were also caught near the river mouth over the past week.
Thanks to Kingfisher for this angling update.
