The Sharks lost to the Reds in Brisbane and then defeated the Brumbies in Canberra.

Sharks lock forward, Ruan Botha, feels his own early form has also been mixed.

"I think it wasn't the best start for me. I am trying to build on each game and I am in a good space now. I am enjoying this moment and living in it," Botha said.

The Sharks scored a late try to beat the Brumbies and Botha believes they were confident of success right until the end.

"There is belief in this team. We all work together and we never give up. We play for one another and enjoy every single moment. That is a good recipe for a win," Botha added.

Ryan Strudwick took over as Sharks defence coach at the start of the season. Botha reveals that the coach is keeping things simple.

"A few things have changed, but you can't learn to tackle at this stage. It really is all about sharpening up the basics and just analyzing each team week by week," Botha said.

Robert du Preez took over from Gary Gold as head coach and Botha is enjoying life under Du Preez.

"There is always a difference between two coaches. You can either enjoy the coach or not. It depends on your approach to the situation. I am enjoying it so far and looking forward to the rest of the season," Botha concluded.
