Messi ranked most valuable

This is according to the latest stats released by CIES’s (International Centre for Sports Studies) Football Observatory.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is ranked second, but is almost worth half as much as Messi.

The Belgium international is worth €148 million.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked third – worth €124 million if CIES’s stats are to be believed.

Neymar Junior ranks fourth with an estimated transfer value of €98 million, while Sergio Aguerro rounds off the top five, valued at €86 million.

The statistics also include transfer cost probabilities of a number of players in the top five football leagues worldwide.
