McGregor leads Fish on Friday
KZN paddler, Hank McGregor, leads after day one of the Hansa Fish River Canoe Marathon.
The double world champion won the opening stage in a time of 2 hours 54 minutes and 24 seconds.
Andy Birkett is second after clocking 2hrs:55:10 today..
Third was Cradock local, Greg Louw (2hrs58:08), who sneaked ahead of Jasper Mocke (2hrs:58:08).
Grant van der Walt finished in fifth place (2hrs:59:16).
First home for the women was Abby Adie in a time of 3hrs:18:33.
In second place was defending champion, Michele Eray, in a time of 3hrs:19:02.
Jenna Ward came in third in 3hrs:24:56.
