Margaret River next for Jordy
The contest in Western Australia is due to start this week Wednesday and is the third stop on the elite Samsung Galaxy World Championship Tour.
Smith, who reached the quarter-finals at the recent Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, is currently fifth in the championship standings.
Mick Fanning is top after his narrow victory over Adriano de Souza in the final at Bells last week.
De Souza is third in the world title race, while Filipe Toledo is second and Julian Wilson fourth.
Kelly Slater is 12th in the standings.
Smith is the only South African on the elite tour this year.
