Le Clos on the Friday menu
Chad le Clos will be back in action at the FINA World Championships later today.
Le Clos will see action in the 100-metres butterfly.
Roland Schoeman is also on the Friday menu in Barcelona.
Schoeman is due to compete in the 50-metres freestyle.
Other South Africans scheduled to swim today are Trudi Maree and Kyna Perreira.
Karin Prinsloo and Darren Murray both failed to reach finals yesterday. They were eliminated in the semi-finals.
Prinsloo came within 0,03sec of her national record in the women’s 100m freestyle during her semi-final.
Prinsloo made it through to the top 16 with a 55,05sec swim in the heats and then went even faster with a 55,00sec dash to show she is returning back to her best form after the London Olympics last year.
Murray also closed the gap to his best with a solid 1:59,19 in the men’s 200m backstroke heats, earning his place in his second semi-final of the week like training partner Prinsloo. It was tougher in the semi-final for him though, as he struggled to recover with a 2:02,12.
