Fellow Olympic gold medallist Cameron van der Burgh again highlighted his rich vein of form with a comfortable victory in the men’s 50m breaststroke while Myles Brown earned a silver medal in the 400m freestyle.

Le Clos was in a class of his own in the 200m butterfly where he led from start to finish winning by more than two body lengths.

The 23-year-old posted a time of 1:54.18, more than three seconds faster than his nearest rival Jordan Coelho of France with 1:57.58 while Australia’s David Morgan bagged bronze clocking 1:58.93.

In his final event of the evening, Le Clos blasted to victory in the 50m butterfly in a time of 23.23 with American Timothy Philips taking silver in 23.42 and Jayden Hadler of Australia finishing third with 23.66.

Van der Burgh was also in dominant form winning with a time of 26.74 which was just short of his season’s best time of 26.62.

He touched the wall well ahead of the second-placed Brendan McHugh of the United States, who posted a time of 27.61 with Paraguay’s Rento Prono Fernandez bagging bronze in 27.76.

In the 400m freestyle final and racing in lane one, Myles Brown was involved in a tit-for-tat battle with Jan Micka, of the Czech Republic, who took the spoils with a time of 3:50.54.

Brown stayed in contention for most of the race finishing in second place, after being in third spot at the final turn, posting a time of 3:50.67 with Austria’s David Brandl touching in third with 3:51.15.
