Large shad teasing Durban anglers
Updated | By Andre Bloem and Kingfisher
Durban anglers have had to return some really nice shad to the ocean this week.

Blue Lagoon has seen small sandsharks caught on the days which have presented better fishing conditions, caught on small baits and spinning outfits, with some bigger shad caught accidentally as well.
In the bad weather experienced over the last week, many anglers had an extremely good time catching a variety of in-edibles from the Durban beaches, including a few sandsharks.
Some large shad were caught close to North Pier in Durban all weekend, with many of these weighing in at over 3kg.
A reminder that the shad season is closed right now!
It will re-open on 1 December and we hope that you will get to catch and keep a few really big ones then.
