Anglers must please keep in mind that the shad season closes at the end of the month and also to be aware of size and bag limits when targeting these fish.

All freshly caught shad are to be taken to the Kingfisher to be weighed in before the end of the month if you want to stand a chance to win a prize.

We have partly cloudy weather this morning, which will clear later with a high of 23 degrees in Durban. Light offshore winds will swing to NEs this afternoon peaking at 10 knots.

So try to make the most of the beautiful sea conditions first thing this morning by going for a surf-ski or SUP paddle, although there isn’t much swell around for surfers. The inshore viz was really clean down the coast yesterday afternoon, so it may be worth going snorkelling too.
