KZN legends heading for Hawaii

KZN paddling legends, Oscar Chalupsky and Hank McGregor, have both entered the annual Maui Jim Molokai Surfski Challenge in Hawaii on Sunday.

Chalupsky, a veteran at 51, has won this surfski ultra-marathon on 12 occasions.

McGregor, meanwhile, is the current world marathon champion.

Western Cape paddler, Jasper Mocke, will also be involved in Hawaii this Sunday.

Mocke tops the world surfski series standings, having won all three races completed thus far.

This will be the 38th edition of the famous channel crossing between Molokai and Oahu.
